Boy Scout Troop 110, Bedford Hills

Joesph Mc Ginn
239 Bedford Rd.
Bedford Hills, NY 10507

The Bedford Hills Boy Scout Troop dates back to the 1920's and currently has 10 members. Troop 110 meets the second and fourth Friday 7:15 - 9:00 P.M. at the Bedford Hills Scout House at 87 Adams Street. Boys ages 11-18 may join, and new members are always welcome. One does not need to be a Cub Scout before joining the Boy Scouts. Scouting provides an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of citizenship, and to develop personal fitness. The troop takes part in the District Spring Camp- O-Ree and each year makes plans for summer camping at Camp Reed in the Adirondacks. They also lend a hand to the Pitch In For Parks program and do clean-up and maintenance work at the Pound Ridge Reservation. Taking trips to places of interest to the boys is part of their program. Recently they went to the Liberty Science Center, a hands-on museum in Jersey City, N. J., and have taken an overnight trip to the Battleship Massachusetts where they slept aboard ship. There are also a number of Cub Scout Packs in Bedford and you can contact Scout Headquarters in Hawthorne, NY for further information. The number there is 773-1135.
